Five Months
Today Belle is five months old! She is more than our lil' stinkbomb (Dad dressed her this morning), she is also our tinker belle, belley, sweetie, sweetheart, beauty and our most precious gift. At five months you have discovered your feet and love to hold them while we change you. Your left ear is also something you enjoy tugging on a few times throughout the day, which makes your Mom worry it is going to be longer than your right ear. You are talking more and more, which makes your Dad worry that once you find your words, we are never going to have a moment of silence. You reward us with your little laugh almost daily, but we have to work really hard to earn it. For the past two nights you have only gotten up once! We are hoping you are starting a new trend. You love going on walks with us on the weekends. You really love having us hold you while you stand up, this always brings a smile to your face. You are a healthy, happy baby girl and time is flying by! We look forward to our first family vacation with you and introducing you to sunshine, the pool and spending lots of quality time together. Belle McRae, you are such a blessing and bring so much joy to our lives, thank you for coming into our world.

Countdown to Palm Springs - 2 1/2 Days
Portland's forecast:
Palm Spring's forecast (!!!!!!!!!):
I am trying to remember the last time I was in weather that was completely sunny and in the 80s! Maybe this day in Geneva? My to-do list to prepare for our first trip with Belle keeps growing, as well as my anxiety. I am sure she will do great, but I sure hope I don't forget anything.

Date Night
Saturday night we had a much needed date night! First we stopped by Spirit of 77 for some German beer, appetizers and to watch the Blazer game on the big screen. Scott knew I wanted to find a photo booth as something fun to do and it just so happens they have one at 77. It is funny to see the progression of the photos, they seem to get better as you go down.
Dinner was at Olympic Provision in NW Portland for cured meats and wine. (It is also on our list of restaurants to try in 2012.) The Chef's Platter had us reminiscing of our time abroad and how common it was for us to eat cured meats every Sunday as we drank a bottle of wine and enjoyed the day of rest in Switzerland. Now it seems our weekends go by way too quickly and there is lots of running around.
Thank you Scott for the night out and a big thank you to my parents for watching Belle.
