How often do you iron?

I just learned from my French and Swiss coworkers that they iron all of their clothing, even the undergarmets. I personally purchase clothing that does not require ironing. Even my bed sheets are wrinkle free to avoid ironing.

Mr. and Mrs. Evan Wilson's Wedding - Part II

Some photos of the details

Mr. and Mrs. Evan Wilson's Wedding

Evan and Mandy picked a gorgeous setting for their wedding in Roche Harbor at a small bed and breakfast.  The weather was 80 degrees, sunny, no breeze and all of the details were just perfect.  We had a wonderful time celebrating their special day.

How Ironic - Travel & Leisure Magazine

Scott and I picked up the recent issue of Travel and Leisure while at the Seattle airport on Sunday.  How ironic that there was an article about the Pendleton Round-Up and Pendleton Blankets.  Also, note that there is a picture of a girl with "Helix Band" on her t-shirt, that was me back in grade school.

We are happy to be back at our home in Soral, sleeping in our own bed and getting back into our normal routine here.  Stayed tuned for lots of photos and stories.

Lake Union to Roche Harbor

Last Friday we flew from Geneva to Copenhagen to Seattle for our two week visit home. On Saturday we flew on a Kenmore Air sea plane to Roche Harbor in the San Juan Islands to attend Evan and Mandy's wedding. It was our first time on a sea plane and Scott was able to sit up front with our pilot. It was a gorgeous day for a flight and we were so happy to be back that we almost forgot we had jet lag!

Update on Trip

We are having a wonderful time back in the U.S.A! It is amazing that in one week from today we are going to be flying back to Geneva. Some of our highlights have been:
  • Seeing our family
  • Catching up with so many wonderful friends
  • Eating good burgers, sushi, Mexican food and Ruby beer from McMenamins
  • Fishing, fishing and more fishing
  • Shopping
  • Being in vacation mode

Hiking with Pauley

Scott's friend Mark Pauley visited us!  He has been working in Basel for the past few weeks and was able to get away for the weekend.  Saturday included hiking in the Jura Mountains and getting caught in a thunder and lightening storm.  See the videos for some footage.  The hike ended at La Barillette for traditional fondue, then we strolled back to the car with our full bellies.

Last Night's Fishing

Instead of packing for our trip we went fishing on the Allondone River that is 15 minutes from our house.  Scott caught two fish and had several bites.
