My lovely wife Heather returned safely from her trip to Paris with a new visa, job news, and a bottle of wine. It's very nice to have her back - amazingly this was our first time apart since she moved to Switzerland.
She accomplished her goal of getting her visa from the Swiss embassy in Paris, which is a huge burden off both of our shoulders. Originally, we thought she would need to fly back to the US to get this accomplished, but we found out that she could simply cross the border and visit a Swiss embassy. This saved us time, money, and most importantly kept us closer to each other.
We also got some good news regarding Heather's employment with Lexmark. It sounds like she got the job and will check in Monday to see about her first day! Whooo hoo!
I thought I would share that positive news and let you know how nice it is being married to Heather. It's funny how even a couple of short days apart can really make you miss the little things... I really don't know how we did it for months at a time.
