Fete de Geneve

The Festival of Geneva is the annual tourist event in Switzerland and is held right down on the lake. From the middle of July through August 9th, the lake front hosted concerts, entertainment, stands and carnival rides, it reminded us of the Rose Festival in Portland in some ways.

The musical firework display was on Saturday and started precisely at 10 p.m. All of the lights on the carnival rides and the buildings that surround the lake went dark and the show began with boom! The 55 minute spectacle was very impressive, the best we had ever seen. The last scene was the breathtaking with the soaring of the Jet d'Eau (water jet), it felt patriotic.
