New Coffee House: Public Domain

A trip to Portland is not complete without trying at least three different types of coffee beans.  I discovered one of the newest coffee houses in downtown Portland by accident, Public Domain.  Their pour over method intrigued me, so I ordered a cup of their Burundi Bwayi and a sausage and cheese scone.  Breakfast of champions!  The barista, Jon, taught me more about the method (sorry, I can't remember the details due to jet lag and it being over a week ago) and was very friendly.  All in all it was a good cup of coffee and I enjoyed being in downtown Portland for a morning.
First step of the pour over method:  run hot water through the filter
Second step:  Add fresh ground beans
Third step:  Gently pour hot water over the beans for the perfect cup of coffee
The yummy scone
Stumptown is still my favorite though
