In the park by Place Neuve outside of old town Geneva you can play a game of checkers or chess to pass the time. On the weekends you see many people standing around playing a game or two and others waiting for a spot to open up. I am always amazed that no one has stolen the pieces, maybe I am just a jilted American to think that.
